Prince Mahesh to Enter Bollywood?

Telugu superstar and Namrata Shirodkar's husband Mahesh Babu will finally make his big Bollywood debut next year. Kuki Gulati, who failed to please the audience with his directorial debut Prince last year, has roped in the south Indian superstar for his next.

A source informed Mumbai Mirror, "Kuki is currently working with Smriti Shinde. They are in the process of releasing their first venture - a Marathi film titled Ticha Baap, Tyacha Baap. Only after this, Kuki will move on to his next project. And Mahesh Babu has already agreed to be a part of it. The film will be produced under the banner of SoBo films."

Born to Telugu superstar Krishna, Mahesh Babu faced the camera at the age of four as a child artiste in Ramesh Babu's directorial debut Needa in 1979. After 20 years, Mahesh Babu starred in Rajakumarudu as the lead hero and became an overnight success in the Telugu film industry. In fact, people started referring to him as Prince Mahesh after the film.

Interestingly, Prince Mahesh and the Prince maker, Kuki Gulati, became fast friends only a few months back. "Kuki and Mahesh Babu became friends while shooting for an ad film together. Kuki shot the commercial for a top clothing brand starring the actor. Since then, the two have remained in touch. When Kuki narrated the idea of a thriller to Mahesh Babu, the actor immediately agreed to star in the film."

When contacted, Kuki Gulati said, "Nothing is final yet. It is too early to say anything. I am busy right now with our first Marathi film. After that I will start work on my directorial next."
