Kamal Haasan Biography
Kamal Hasan was born on November 7, 1954, in Paramakkudi, Tamil Nadu, India. As everybody knows he is a highly versaile and acclaimed actor, director, and writer. Kamal Hasan has appeared in movies made in six indian languages, - Hindi, Bengali, Tamil,Telugu,Kannada and Malayalam.
Kamal got National Award for the Best Child Artisit for his screen debut film Kalathur Kannamma at the age of six. He followed it with appearances as a child actor in movies that featured MGR, Sivaji Ganesan, Nagesh and Gemini Ganesh.
In mid 1980's Kamal Hassan divorced his first wife and married then upcoming actress Sarika. They have two daughters in this marriage. However they are separated and Kamal Hassan determined to remain as young needs an young wife also. Kamal Haasan daughter Shruti Haasan is also a popular actress in bollywood.
Kamal Hasan's new venture is Dasavatharam. Kamal had done more than an year-long preparation for this movie Dasavatharam, one of the most talked about films in recent times. For the past year, Haasan has been travelling mainly to the US to perfect the make-up for the film, where he dons 10 get-ups like Lord Mahavishnu himself. Kamal Haasan will be a Vaishnavite saint at the temple in his first avatar, and acting with him will be the young Asin. Mallika Sherawat is also expected to join the crew.
Kamal Haasan's former wife, Sarika, used to be his costume designer until they got separated. The role has now fallen on the shoulders of former actress Gowthami. Ravi Varman was supposed to be the cinematographer, but it is Jeeva who will now take charge. The music is by Himesh Reshammiya.
Kamal Haasan Personal Life
The relationship between Kamal Hasan and Sarika commenced even when Hassan was still with wife Vani Ganpathy.
After a harsh divorce with Vani, Hassan and Sarika got married. They even had two daughters; Akshara Haasan and Shruthi Haasan. However, Sarika surprised everyone by walking out with her children, amidst reports of physical abuse and Hassan’s infidelities. Although he was in an extra marital affair with actress Simran Bagga for some time it is unclear who instigated the divorce with his wife Sarika. It is also believed that Sarika even attempted suicide by jumping from their second floor home in Chennai. She has now made a comeback in Hindi films after her divorce from Kamal Hassan.
